If you are in need of a small place to stay for an extended period of time, a room at the Society of Retired Moon Miners might be a good option for you. This place is more like a rooming house than a full service hotel. Each room has a private bathroom, closet, and mini-kitchenette. The mini-kitchenette is about a meter and a half wide and includes cabinet counter and storage space, a small refrigerator, food zapper, and beverage hydrator. The suites have an additional room set up as a living room with an extra multi-use view screen. Contact us for availability as it changes from week to week. Minimum rental is one week. Rooms cost Σ100 per week, Suites cost Σ200 per week.
The facility is still managed by SORMM, with some of their members staying on-site. If you are new to Seleneca, conversations with the members is a great way to learn the local perspective of living long-term on the moon and the history of the community. The dining room offers a simple breakfast each morning, charged a la cart, and dinner on occasion, usually posted a day or two beforehand, and requires an RSVP.
The residential side of the society house is between Haise and Swigert Streets at Bradbury Ring and has separate entrances from both of those streets. Food and services are nearby at the Grand Star Bazaar and along South Street.
